Safety Insurance

Safety Personal Auto Relief Credit

We have announced a 15% Safety Personal Auto Relief Credit. Pending regulatory approval, any personal auto policyholder that has a policy in effect as of April 1, 2020 will receive the credit off their premium for the months of April and May. To be eligible, you must have made at least one payment on your policy and maintain continuous coverage. The credits will be applied automatically and if you have already paid in full, you will receive a refund for the amount of the credit.

Preferred Mutual

Stay Home, Stay Assured Auto Program

We launched the Stay Home, Stay Assured Auto Program to support our customers who are doing their part and staying home to flatten the curve. The program automatically gives New York and Massachusetts personal auto policyholders a 15% credit on their April and May premiums. Customers will be mailed a check for their 15% premium credit.

Arbella Insurance

Arbella Here. For Good.® Give Back Program

Subject to approval by state regulators, Arbella’s personal auto customers will receive a credit equal to 20% of their auto premium for three months – April, May, and June 2020. These savings would result in an estimated average of $60 per vehicle, and customers with multiple vehicles on their policy could see significant savings.

As an Arbella customer, you can expect to see these credits applied to your bill within the next 60 days, and you do not need to take any action to receive the credit. Customers who have paid in full will receive a check within 60 days. Any new customer who purchases a private passenger auto policy effective prior to June 30, 2020 will receive the same benefit. To receive the credit, customers must be an active personal auto policyholder at the time the refund credit is made.

Mapfre Insurance

MAPFRE Insurance Staying Home Refund

We are implementing the MAPFRE Insurance Staying Home Refund. Subject to regulatory approval, the MAPFRE Insurance Staying Home Refund will return 15% of April and May premium to our personal auto policyholders, over $30 million. On average, most policyholders will receive a premium credit of approximately $40. No action is required on the part of our policyholders to receive this premium credit which will be applied within the next 60 days. Customers who have paid in full will receive a refund within this same time period.

Progressive Insurance

Apron Relief Program

If you have an active personal auto policy at the end of April or May, you will be receiving a 20% premium credit. There is nothing you need to do. We will calculate your credit for you at the end of that month, and you’ll see it in your Progressive account a few weeks after that. It’s all automatic—our plan is to provide you a confirmation message when each credit is in your account. We’ll calculate your credit within a few weeks of the end of April and May. You’ll receive your credit shortly after that. We’ll automatically apply it to any outstanding balance or your next bill. And if you’re already paid in full, we’ll return the credit amount directly to your payment account or issue you a check.

Plymouth Rock

Personal Auto insurance customers will receive a 25% premium credit on Liability and Personal Injury Protection Coverages. An automatic credit will be applied to affected customers’ policies. No further action is required.

We are introducing our “pay it forward” option, which gives anyone who wishes the ability to donate their personal auto insurance premium credit to a non-profit that is providing relief for those hit hardest by COVID-19. A list of charities will be made available in the coming days.

Stay-at-Home Auto Premium Credit Program

The Travelers Companies, Inc. (NYSE: TRV) today announced it is giving U.S. personal auto insurance customers a 15% credit on their April and May premiums through its new Stay-at-Home Auto Premium Credit Program. The company will automatically credit customers’ accounts, providing them with prompt and much needed relief during this time. Travelers will continue to assess the program as more information comes to light about the impact of the COVID-19 crisis on the driving environment and auto claims.

Personal Auto Customer Relief Refund

Personal auto insurance customers will receive a 15% refund on two months of their auto premium, based on your premium amount as of April 7, 2020. We are planning to issue the refund in the manner you made your most recent payment or by check. We will begin issuing refunds in the coming weeks, after we have approval from state insurance regulators. Your refund will happen automatically, and you do not need to call us to get your refund.
