Don't Drive with Tunnel Vision- It'll Hurt Your MA Auto Insurance
1/26/2012 9:10:00 AM
So let's set the scene. You're running late for work. There's a fresh coating of snow on the ground as well as all over your car. And you have a meeting to get to in a half hour...and work is 25 minutes away. More than likely you're only going to clear off the slightest amount of snow as possible so you can just barely see out of your windshield. Now, no only is this unbelievably dangerous, but to make matters even worse, if you got into an accident because your windshielf wasn't properly cleared off, you'd certainly see a hike in your MA auto insurance!
So even if you don't see the harm in the matter, here's a statistic that hopefully will change your mind: there were over 2,250 auto accidents with regards to winter conditions in 2003. I don't know about you, but that's a pretty high number I'd say.
Even if you're still not convinced, think of it this way: what if your unclear windshield gets you into an accident, injuring an innocent person. You probably wouldn't feel pretty good about yourself then, would you? So do us all a favor next time, wake up ten minutes earlier during a snow storm, and clear off your cars properly. It may very well save your life!
